Peacefully at the Hull Hospital, on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the age of 81 years. Predeceased by her husband Kelwyn Beattie. Loving mother of Kelena (Chris McDowell). Much loved grandma of Joshua and Ryan. Survived by her sister Claire (Elmer McKale), her brother Hugh McSheffrey, her brother-in-law Ervin (Ruth) Beattie, sister-in-law Doreen (late Harold) Davis and sister-in-law Lorna Beattie. Predeceased by her parents Emmanuel McSheffrey and Dorothy Holmes, brothers Vincent McSheffrey (Brenda Kealey) Br. James McSheffrey, S.J. and sister-in-law Jean (late Bruce) Wallace. She was a long time member of the CWL and active in the parish. Helena has left behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends especially those in the Irish Society and the Irish Seniors group. The family will receive friends at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church, 189 Archambault Street, Hull, Quebec on Saturday, March 7, 2020 after 9:30 am followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 am.
