Suddenly, at home, on Friday, January 18, 2013 at the age of 57. Beloved husband of Linda Smith. Dear brother of Sandra Winkler (Brian), Heather Gravelle, Joanne Gravelle and Swan DaSilva (Robert). Loving uncle of Liana Griffin, Cara Griffin (Craig) and Freyja Fjolkunnigr (Zach). Fondly remembered and missed by many other relatives and friends. Ian was a very passionate and creative person who enjoyed travelling, racing and puttering in the shop with his furry friends. He loved to joke and make people laugh. One of his many talents was recounting his adventures with a focus on the hilarious or absurd. He was always true to himself. Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, on Wednesday, January 23 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service on Thursday, January 24 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
