Isobel St. Aubin

Suddenly, on Thursday, February 28, 2019, Isobel St-Aubin of Ottawa passed away peacefully in her Elmvale Acres home at the age of 88. She was the daughter of the late Roméo Cousineau and the late Margaret Burns. Beloved wife of the late Wilfrid St. Aubin. Isobel is survived by her son Ray (Linda) and daughter Debbie (John), and was a beloved Nanny to her grandchildren David, Jeffrey (Heather), Katie, and 7 great-grandchildren Maddison, Zoë, Mia, Reegan, Avery, Ryan and Lainie. She leaves in mourning her sister Eilleen (Paul) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her brother Raymond and her sister Marguerite (JP), and Colleen (Noël). An avid bowler with a sweet tooth for butterscotch and a legendary tea biscuit recipe, Isobel spent her retirement keeping an active volunteer and social schedule and will be remembered fondly for her 25 years of service as a gift shop volunteer with The Ottawa General Hospital Campus. Isobel is predeceased by her husband, Willie and will be laid to rest with him at Notre-Dame Cemetery this spring.

A memorial service is planned at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, on March 08, 2019 at 1:30PM. Services will follow in the chapel with a luncheon afterwards. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in her memory to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.

Jeffrey (Heather), Katie, et arrière-grand-mère de Maddison, Zoë, Mia, Reegan, Avery, Ryan et Lainie. Elle laisse dans le deuil sa sœur Eilleen (Paul), ainsi que plusieurs nièces, neveux et amis. Elle a été précédée par son frère Raymond et sa sœur Marguerite (JP) et Colleen (Noël). Une joueuse passionnée aux quilles et de caramel au beurre, elle avait une légendaire recette de biscuits au thé, Isobel a passé sa retraite dans un programme de bénévolat et social très chargé. On se souviendra avec affection de ses 25 années de service en tant que bénévole dans une boutique de cadeaux au Campus de l'Hôpital général d'Ottawa. Prédécédée par son mari, Willie, elle sera inhumée au cimetière Notre-Dame ce printemps.

La famille recevra parents et amis à la Maison Funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier, 180, chemin Montréal, le vendredi, 8 mars 2019 après 13h30, suivie d'un service en mémoire d'Isobel à 14h dans la chapelle. Un déjeuner suivra. Au lieu de fleurs, veuillez envisager de faire un don en sa mémoire à l'Institut de cardiologie de l’université d’Ottawa.
