Doreen McKellar (neé Lalonde) of Ottawa passed away peacefully in Ottawa on Monday, September 21, 2026, at the age of 92 years.
Doreen was a loving mother to David McKellar (Heather) of Trenton, Louise Nesbitt (Dave) of Kingston, Micheline Fleming (Alain Goudreau) of Gatineau, Jeffrey McKellar of England, and Wendy Klaubert (Rudi) of Calgary. She was a dear sister to Norman Lalonde (late Marion) of Ottawa. Doreen will be fondly remembered by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; André and Celina Lalonde (née Parisien), her daughter, Janet McKellar, her sisters; Bernadette Dubé (Emile), Gertrude Desnoyers (Ernest), Beatrice Peters (Andy), Georgette Gault (Johnny), Margaret Rutley (Dwayne and Alcide), and her brothers; Leo Lalonde (Jeannine) and Desmond Lalonde (Joan).
A Funeral Mass will take place at Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Parish, 1940 Saunderson Drive, Ottawa on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at the Notre Dame Cemetery.
