James Amos Hester

Peacefully, at Alta Vista Manor on December 10, 2013 at the age of 83.

Beloved husband of the late Audrey (Bayles) Hester (Jan. 2007). Predeceased by his loving parents Elizabeth Anne (Drake) and James A. Hester Sr.. Dear brother of Diantha Lou (Hester) Dowdell and the late Leslie F. Dowdell (Nov. 2012) (Windsor) and their children Leslie Amlin (Jim), Daniel Dowdell (Josette), Lainey Chauvin (Brian), Tim Dowdell (Sarah), Chrissey Copeland, Leonard Dowdell and George Trupp (Melanie). Dearly loved great uncle and great, great uncle to many nieces and nephews and the Drake cousins. Fondly remembered by Tom and Sandra Bayles, Joanne and Carson Fischer and their families (Sault Ste. Marie). Cremation has taken place and James will be laid to rest with his beloved Audrey in Greenwood Cemetery, Sault Ste. Marie, ON A special thank-you to all the nurses and doctors on the 4th, 5th and 6th floors at Ottawa Hospital General Campus and the staff at Alta Vista Manor for their exceptional care of James during these past two months.
