James Alexander Rogers

May 30,1959-September 5,2023

It is with heavy hearts that Jimmy passed away in peace on September 5, 2023 from a 9 year battle with Cancer at the Ottawa General Hospital with Family and a few close Friends at his side.

Left to cherish years of love and memories are his brothers Bill (Marie), Danny (Mary), Armand (Cailin), his sister Darlene (Finton-Phil), several nieces and nephews as well as his very dear long term friend Lise.

Jimmy was predeceased by his parents Ronald William Rogers, Elsie May Rogers and 1 brother Edward David (Eddie)Rogers.

Jimmy was born and raised in Halifax Nova Scotia. Several years later he relocated himself to Ottawa, Ontario for work. Over the years he learned to play the guitar as well as the Mandolin. He met his very good friends Mike and Noreen and they would get together often doing what Jimmy loved doing best which was playing music. He had such a huge love for music and managed to entertain many people over the years.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the 6th floor Drs and Nurses at the Ottawa General Hospital for the kindness and care given to Jimmy. We would also like to Thank the team members and the Dr that were present from M.A.I.D. ensuring that Jimmy's’ wishes were carried through.

A Celebration Of Life took place with Jimmy the days preceding and the day of his passing. Jimmy was a true warrior and was very courageous right through to the time of his passing. A Dignified Cremation has taken place. Jimmy's’ wishes were for his ashes to be buried with his Mother and Father in Halifax Nova Scotia.
