Joanne Sauvé

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Joanne Sauvé. She left this world peacefully on May 12, 2025, at the age of 60. Born in Ottawa, she was the daughter of Barry Armstrong and of the late Pierrette Ayotte (the late Jacques Ayotte). She was the loving wife of Guy Labelle and the caring mother of Cory (Lindsay), Crystal (Danny), Floyd (Ashley), Chanelle and Anthoine.

She also leaves in mourning her grandchildren: Kaleb, Merissa, Ethan, Kohen, Maï, Madison, Manix as well as her siblings: Suzanne (Daniel), Mike (Bernadette), James (Chantal), David (Carole), Jess, Kevin and Shawna.

Joanne was predeceased by her brother Robert and her sister Joan.

She was a devoted member of our community and always had an open door for her loved ones. She leaves a warm feeling in the hearts of those she cared for. Her caring, loving and sassy personality will never be forgotten.

On earth God took you away from thee . . .

Forever in our hearts you shall be. . .

A Memorial Service will be held at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa, Ontario, K1L 1B4) on Sunday June 1, 2025, at 1 PM. And the family will be receiving friends and loved ones for condolences as of 12:30 PM

C’est avec grand regret que nous annonçons le décès de notre mère Joanne Sauvé. Elle nous a quitté paisiblement le 12 mai 2025 à l’âge de 60 ans. Originaire d’Ottawa, elle était la fille de Barry Armstrong et de feu Pierrette Ayotte (feu Jacques Ayotte). Elle était l’épouse de Monsieur Guy Labelle et la mère bien aimée de Cory (Lindsay), Crystal (Danny), Floyd (Ashley), Chanelle et Anthoine.

Outre son époux et ses enfants, elle laisse dans le deuil ses petits-enfants : Kaleb, Merissa, Ethan, Kohen, Maï, Madison, Manix ainsi que ses frères et sœurs : Suzanne (Daniel), Mike (Bernadette), James (Chantal), David (Carole), Jess, Kevin et Shawna.

Joanne fut prédécédée par son frère Robert et sa sœur Joan.

Son dévouement envers sa communauté était une inspiration et elle était toujours prête à venir en aide à ceux en besoin de soutien. Sa bienveillance, son amour sans bornes et sa personnalité espiègle resteront dans notre cœur à tout jamais.

Un service commémoratif aura lieu en la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Racine, Robert et Gauthier (180 chemin Montréal, Ottawa, Ontario, K1L 1B4) dimanche le 1 juin 2025 à 13h00. La famille recevra les condoléances à la Maison funéraire dès 12h30.
