Peacefully at The Hospice at May Court on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the age of 87. Loving husband of Maureen Daly for 57 years. Much loved father of Allan (Diane) and Sandra Ann. Survived by his sisters Peggy Daly and Clara (Ormond Stanton). Predeceased by sisters Leona O’Connor, Mae O’Sullivan, Lila Hogan, Helen Major and brothers Frank, Martin and Paul. He also leaves behind brother-in-law Raymond Major, sisters-in-law Sophie Cuddihey, Laura Cuddihey, Katie Cuddihey, Sister Eleanor Daly and Mary Daly along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Thanks to the nurses and staff at the Hospice at May Court for their kind and wonderful care. Donations to the Hospice at May Court and the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, on Friday, December 27 from 2-4 p.m. & 5-8 p.m. Funeral mass on Saturday, December 28 at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 685 Walkley Road, Ottawa. Interment to follow at Hope Cemetery.
