Peacefully at Ottawa General Hospital, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the age of 79 years. Beloved husband of Reine Vervacke for 57 years. Loving father of Chris (Vanderluci), Doreen (Mike), Cathy (Don), Christine, Martine and the late John. Survived by his 10 grandchildren, Jon Lang, Kevin Wallace, Sasha Viau, Angie Barton, Kenny Wallace, John Eaton, Amanda Grenier, Shane Barton, Tammie Eaton the late Shannon Barton and Nicholas Grenier and his 10 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Bert (late Yolande), Jean-Marie (Emilie), Yvette (Alban), Carmelle and Suzanne. Predeceased by Henriette (Cecil) and André (Hélène). Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Saturday, February 21, 2015 after 9:30 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 am in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
