On Tuesday, February 10, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 60 years. Predeceased by his loving wife Julie Humphrey, his beloved son Nicholas, his parents Earl and Carrie Wright and his sister Gloria (George Munroe). Survived by his in laws, John and Cecile Humphrey, his sisters in law, Karen (Michael Leeder), Debbie (John Donnan) and his brother in law, Eric Humphrey (Hélène) and his nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his dear friend Jim Lapointe and his family. A heart felt thank you to the staff of the Ottawa Hospital, the Irving Greenberg Cancer Centre, Champlain CCAC and Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre- 5B for their excellent and compassionate care. Friends will be received at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Saturday, February 14, 2015 after 1 pm followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 3 pm with Father Bill Penney officiating. In memoriam donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, C.H.E.O. Foundation or the Cancer Centre at the Ottawa Hospital would be appreciated. .
