On august 19, 2016 surrounded by family. She was the daughter of the late Omer Vézina and the late Aurore Séguin. She was the beloved wife of Lionel “Len” Picotte. She will be greatly missed by her loving children Pierre (Ann), Johanne, Christine Hartl (Gary), her cherished grandchildren Marc-André, Michel, Yves, Camille (Éric), Amber and Tyler and her dear sister Huguette. She leaves behind many nephews, nieces and friends. Laurette was predeceased by her children André, Claude (Ginette), Sylvie as well as her brothers Lucien, Lionel, Marcel, Rodolphe, André and her sisters Jeanne, Noëlla, Juliette, Cécile, Yvette, Thérèse. The family would like to thank the staff from the 3rd floor at the Extendicare Laurier Manor (Montreal Road) for their great compassion and care. For those who wish, there will be visitations Wednesday August 24, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 9 p. m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home. (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa). A Memorial Service will be held on Friday August 26, 2016 at 10:30 a. m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive condolences from 10 a.m. In Memory of Laurette, donations to the Heart & Stoke or Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated.
