Laurier Xavier Beaulieu

It is with great sadness, and gratitude for a life well lived, that the family of Laurier Xavier Beaulieu announce his passing at the Elisabeth Bruyère Hospice in Ottawa, on Monday June 5, 2023, at the age of 94. Laurier/Dad/Pepere was an important force in our lives. He is predeceased by his wife Georgette (Servais), eldest daughter Johanne (Coules) and her eldest son Jeremy.

He was the much loved father of Michelle (late Rick Pelkey), Patrick (Adele Leeming) and Julie (Evan). Grandfather to Ryan Coules (Jennifer), Kevin (Pelkey (Lianna Forman), Emma and Anna; Great grandfather to Peyton, Maddison, Kaylie, and McKenna; beloved brother-in-law to Murielle Delvin (late Jim), Cam, and Doris Servais.

Laurier was born in Cornwall, son of the late Xavier and Rosina (Poirier). He is also predeceased by his four brothers, three sisters and their spouses.

Laurier loved boating and fishing on the St-Lawrence. In his younger days, ice fishing too! After retirement, he volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society and Children’s Aid Society. He was the secretary/treasurer of the infamous Croquet Club and a dedicated caregiver to his wife Georgette. In 2015 he finally got the Cadillac he always wanted and drove to the casino for “a little fun”.

Dad, you have finally closed your book. We will raise a glass of Rye in your honour. Hallelujah!!

A celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 am on June 29, 2023 at the Woodlawn Cemetery Cornwall Ontario.
