Dearest Muriel,
You and Larry were instrumental in mentoring me when I first became a Christian.  The two year weekly  "2-7 Discipleship" course you led was excellent!  I have many fond memories of our fellowship together during those days.  We also took the Ottawa Christian Counselling courses together and had fun practicing on each other.  Larry was a very caring and special man.  My sister Wendy and I are very grateful for the care and time he spent with Mike.  He will be missed.  Can't wait to see him again in Heaven!

Nichole and I want to express our deepest condolences through this time of profound loss.   As both of us grew up at AVBC with Dan,  your husband was a godly example in our lives at AVBC.  In more recent years, I counted it a privilege to connect with Larry through Nextlevel.  I deeply enjoyed his company and his friendship.  Grateful that he was willing to invest the time with me over a hot drink on more than a few occasions.  "Absent from the body, present with the Lord." Brenda and I were the recipients of Larry's cheery hello so many Sundays as we greeted folks coming to services at the MET.  Even with his serious health issues, he'd  brighten our day.   He will be missed, but our sadness at this parting  is tempered by the sure hope of a grand reunion one sweet day.  Our prayers are for your comfort by the Holy Spirit and support by family and friends.

I share David's sentiment of your days leading AVBC youth.  My,did we give you a hard time!  Laughter and much learning was had,and I'm grateful for the time,energy and input at a most impactful time for me personally.  Also grateful for the ongoing interest in my family; my parents,in particular my dad, my brother and more recently my kids.  Mr. McConnell always showed such a keen interest in Peter and April and their ministry on Manitoulin.
