Laxmi Narayan Gautam

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing on July 25 of Laxmi Narayan Gautam, husband to the late Uma Gautam, beloved father to Rosy Gautam and Kamal Gautam (Mruna Shah), and adored grandfather to Rosy's children Nikhil and Sarina.

Laxmi, born in a small village in India the youngest of 5 brothers, moved halfway around the world to build a better life for his family, he established a successful career in financial services, and his professional and personal legacy will be felt for decades to come. A loving husband and a wonderful father to his children, Laxmi was sharp-witted, engaging, compassionate, and a lover of practical jokes. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him and remember the late night dinner parties and card games where he held court with his entertaining stories and antics.

Services will be held on Friday July 29 at 12:30 PM at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home at 1411 Hunt Club Road in Ottawa.
