Lise Gatner

Lise Gatner left this earth on Saturday December 9th, 2023. She was predeceased by her parents François and Béatrice (née Danis) Grandmaître, her husband Joe, and her brothers Ron, Paul (late Helen) and Mike (late Sherryl).

She was a caring, loving mother and wife who was always ready to serve her community as a volunteer at children’s school, Laurier Carrière, at her church and in the service of those less fortunate. She joins her husband Joe in heaven and is survived by her children Anthony and Monique, by her grandsons Dylan (Cady) and Noah, her great grand-daughter Sloane, her sister-in-law Shirley Smaridge as well as nieces and nephews.

A beautiful, creative soul is no longer with us. Lise will be deeply missed by family and friends and all whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 18th, 2023 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Rd, with a funeral service at St. Basil’s, 940 Rex Avenue, on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023 at 1:30 pm.

For those who wish to do so, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Dementia Society of Ottawa or the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be greatly appreciated.
