Dear Loukia,

I was so stunned when I heard that you are gone. Even now, I am in some state of denial hoping that it is not the truth. I've been trying to reach you for few months and as the time passed I was getting more and more anxious that something had happened to you. I called almost every other day hoping to hear your voice. I even called hospitals to see if you were admitted and was relieved to hear that they did not have a patient with your last name. But I had no courage to call the other number. It simply could not be the truth!

I have no words to tell you how much you touched my life. You were the first ever to tell me that I deserve better in life and not to be afraid. You told me that I'm strong and that I have an incredible intuition and that I should always follow it. 

Thank you my dear friend. Thank you for all your help and advice. Thank you for believing in me, because now, I do have a better life.
I am so blessed to have met somebody like you. As sad as I am now, I know and I feel that you are here, with us.

   Dear Sanna, 

     I think of you a lot.  I do not yet quite believe that you are gone.  I told John tonight " I wish I could talk to Sanna."  Obviously you are still near in some way because your presence is so vivid on some level of my consciousness.  But I still miss you, the fact that I cannot call you on the phone and talk things over with you. 

     As you likely know, there is a  picture of you on my dresser so I see you every morning. You look stunning  in this picture. The day that picture was taken your close friend Nina had visited you in Ottawa.  I have a picture of you alone and I have a picture of you and Nina together.

     My sister recently told me that my nephew Evan is interested in languages. Apparently he collects language books and studies the words.  If I had known that, I would have had you phone him now and again and speak a few words of Greek to him. 

     I also wanted to say that I think of the members of your family - how much you loved them, and I wish them well.  I also think about Pauline a lot; how much you cared about Pauline and how she looked out for you.  I have been meaning to phone Pauline so we can exchange memories of you. 

    I am hoping that you are in a place where you can watch over all of the people you care about, including the members of your family, without the burden of responsibility you always felt for the suffering of others. Sometimes we can assist each other, and sometimes we have to struggle through our lessons, ourselves, the hard way.  I always appreciated your use of the word "assist" and as a result of your influence, I often use that term myself.  

    Thank you to the members of your family for keeping this guest book open.  I feel that I can communicate with you through this vehicle of expression.  I know that one day I wil hear a message from you, and you will make mention of this guest book. In other words I know that I am not writing to "thin air".  In fact, as I say this, I feel you "smile" at me - a smile of mutual understanding.  

    You have such a love for fun and adventure and I just had a sense that you are having a marvelous time, along with whatever lessons (of a more serious type) that you are learning.  I am imagining you in the halls of learning having found that teachers you searched for in this life.  Have you come to an understanding about the Mayan connection that seemed to connect those of us who met in 1995?

   Please pass a message to that brother of mine. My wish is that he fly John and I to Toronto so I can visit everyone - and drop in on beautiful Ottawa, at the same time.   

     I will sign off now - John has just walked the dogs for the night - and the cats are lounging throughout the house.  If you stop by, in spirit, please bring strength to Pixie.  I know that she needs to see the vet. And John and I welcome your support as well.  

    I still want to write about you some day. Maybe I should start with that night we met at that angel group, where you came up to me to introduce yourself.  Mystic Crystal - what a wonderful place - and also the place where I met Wryn and Robert and others.  We had some marvelous experiences.

Dear Sanna, 

   Today is Sunday June 6, 2010 and  today I heard, through Pauline and Wryn of your passing, which occurred on April 26, 2010.  I have been in a state of shock all day, and in a deep state of saddness. It is beyond belief to me that all those times I tried to phone you during the past month and a half, when your voice mail was full, that you had in fact, already left this earth.  Yet I have much to feel hopeful for. 

   You Sanna, brought such passion, compassion and genius to the lives of John and I. You brought so much light to our lives, that I have total faith that your light continues to radiate within heavenly realms and that you are touching base with countless loved ones who have passed on before you.  I also have no doubt that you will continue to look out for those of us here, who crossed paths with you in this life - family and friends. 

   But even with this knowledge that your life and light continue in heavenly realms,  John and I will miss you tremendously. There are no words to describe the role you played in our lives - the constant presence through the struggles and successes of our lives during the past 15 years - the role you played as a support figure, coach, counsellor, friend, and all of the wit, humour and laughter. 

    You spoke to me of Mary Pope and other people who played such a powerful role in your efforts towards your recovery since the stroke in 2003. From what you told me the Ottawa General Hospital and associated facilities did amazing work in your life and were always there for you in ways that I felt amazed by.   I echo Mary Pope, when she says that she and the other professionals at the REhab Centre will miss your phone calls.  I too will miss your phone calls and much much more. 

    I always wanted to write about you Sanna, to write about your life, your talents, and in recent years, the tremendous expression of strength of spirit that you had, that brought you from the brink of the abyss in 2003. I always wanted to touch base with other people who had known you and/or who had been touched by you, and write about their experiences of you.  Sometimes you and I talked about working together on such a project.  

     Why did I wait so long.  You were only 56 years old when you passed on - so young. Somehow I assumed that there were many, many, years yet to go. But isn't that one of the biggest lessons of life - "don't assume." And if you have a desire to do something - express something - start now - don't wait. 

   You touched so many lives, particularly during the past decade, with the work that you did with people on coaching levels.  I am sure there are dozens and dozens of people in Ontario, Quebec, and elsewhere, who have yet to hear of your passing and who will be saddened.   But if anyone was a reminder to me that life continues, even after we depart this life, it was you Sanna.  

   Today after Pauline and Wryn conveyed the news to me of your passing, John and I went for a drive. We visited friends at a ranch and saw a newly born cold and her mother. We went for a walk into the hills, with our dogs.  While standing in the bright sun, and facing a beautiful mountain, we said prayers for you Sanna.  Meanwhile John called out "please continue to look out for us Sanna" a thought which I echoed. 

   With the deep love and caring that you felt for your family and friends, I am certain that you will continue to look out for all of us. And yet with your love for life and adventure - I am certain that you are also immersed in beautiful new adventures of your own.  You must feel so happy to feel young and strong again, in more liberated realms. 

  Our condelences to all of those members of Sanna's family - and all those friends who will miss her.

We will miss the intermittent phone calls from Sanna. She often kept in touch with us at the Rehab. Centre and we will remember what a very special person she was.
