

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Louise on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the age of 79. She leaves behind Denis ("Denny") her beloved husband of 58 years. Loving mother of Christine (Greg), Karen (Jeff), Julie (Pat) and Lisa (Kevin). Dear grandmother of Matthew, James, Jeffrey, Fabian, Daniel, Sean, Darcy, Eric, Isabelle, Lucy and Neil. Louise is survived by her sister Adele (Mike) and predeceased by her parents Clement and Annette Parisien.
Louise was born and raised in Cornwall, Ontario. She moved to Ottawa where she earned her bachelor degree at the University of Ottawa. That is where she met the love of her life, Denny. Louise and Denny were avid golfers and cross country skiers, spending their summers at their family cottage in Norway Bay. She loved to travel and always looked forward to exploring a new part of the world on a cruise. Whether at home or at the cottage, Louise was known as a fabulous cook and hostess. Above all, she adored her husband and four daughters, and was incredibly proud of her eleven grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to visit at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home and Chapel, 1411 Hunt Club Road,(at Albion Road) on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral to be held at St. George’s Parish, Thursday, March 10 at 1pm, 415 Piccadilly Avenue North.
Donations may be made in Louise's memory to the Elisabeth Bruyère Foundation or to the ALS Society of Canada.
