

Beloved wife of the late Ronald Harold Palmer, whom she truly loved and missed.
She was the daughter of the late Mrs. Mary Bertha "Stella" Robbins (Nee Phillips) and the late Mr. Brian Robert Robbins.
Mabel leaves in sorrow her children, Stephanie (John), Robin (Carl), Ron (Karen) and Tracey (Don). Proud Nana to her grandchildren, Ryan, Shelby, Justin, and Beckett. She will be missed by her siblings and partners Dianne (late David), Michael (Monique), Gail (Denis), and predeceased by Brian. She will also be missed by her in-laws George (late Carol), Verna and Dino, Deanne (late Reginald) along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Mabel will be remembered by all as a strong woman that lived life to the fullest, filled with excitement and an unwavering love for her family and friends. Mabel had a passion for travel, curling, golf, the theatre, reading and bridge and a commitment to never being a morning person. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her and shared a laugh, a smile, a joke and a drink with her.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the great care teams overlooking Mabel's care: Dr. Michelle Dickinson, Cindy Cecillon and her team from the Downtown IDA in Russell, the staff at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital as well as Kristina Calberry who always shared a smile and a laugh with mom.
We love you Mom and are comforted knowing you are curled up on the sunniest deck, reading a book and enjoying a drink. Cheers!
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 11:00 am until Mass in the Chapel at 1:00 pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa ON. A celebration of life reception to follow. We would love for you to join the family however please refrain from perfume and cologne due to allergies.
