My sincere sympathy to the family of Peggy
Thank you Cameron for keeping me informed about your mother
Over the years and notifying me of her passing.
She was a good friend, and we shared our love of ballroom dancing.
She encouraged me to be a D.J. along with herself and George as we played for the dances at Jack Purcel senior center, and the R.A
Recreation center..  .When She was on sick leave, she entrusted
Me to carry on playing her music.
We kept in touch over the years after I moved away from Ottawa.
She is at peace now, and no doubt joining the other dancers 
In heaven.





Sincere sympathy to Peggy's family & a special thank you to Cameron for sending me the information.  I will remember your mom for her Scotish accent which I as a French speaking person had difficulty understanding.  I also  have very pleasant memories of her leading the line dance & ballroom classes at the RA for many years, every Monday & Friday afternoon.  May she rest in peace.



John and I were deeply saddened to learn of Auntie Peggy’s death. Unfortunately, during our Canadian trip, the home was in lockdown, but we were able to share face time call. Unfortunately, Peggy was drowsy, but in her lucid moments she still had that wry smile and scotch accent that she never lost, when she recognised her two nephews.
Until her death in 2020, Nancy and Peggy had regular phone calls and we wee amazed by her resilience, strength and get up and go attitude when faced with so many health issues. She met them all head on and still retained a quick wit and sense of humour. The photo on the tribute page sums her up perfectly. A gracious smile and if we could hear a hearty laugh and perhaps a fly fag hidden from view. She loved to party and chat.
The past few years have been a great strain on her and all the family. Although she always put up a great fight against all that was thrown at her, she had limited quality of life, despite the care and attention of nurses and a loving family. 
She is at peace now and re-united with Walter, Nancy and Wilson and no doubt the dancing shoes will be on, and it will be party time.
Hopefully, in time, the dark shadow of bereavement will lift and we can enjoy the brightness of a new day. We will never forget the memory of a loving mother and aunt. Do not lock this memory away; speak of her often in happier times; recall the family holidays, birthdays and celebrations. Shar the stories and adventures and in that way her memory lives on.

She was not only my mom, but she truly was my best friend and I could talk to her about anything. I will definitely miss our 3 hour phone calls but at least she is pain free and dancing in heaven, perhaps even teaching.
