Margaret led a full and wondrous life, emigrating from Slovakia as a child, growing up in Toronto, and building a life full of family and love in Montreal and later Ottawa. Family was the heart of Margaret’s life.
She loved and was loved dearly by her predeceased husband John, predeceased son Richard, daughter Patsy, son-in-law Mark, daughter-in-law Denise, grandchildren Keith, Carl, Brendan, Dylan, and great-grandchild Felix, as well as many family and friends.
Babi, as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren, was of many talents. She was a dressmaker who crafted gowns and wedding dresses. She was a wonderful cook who's cabbage rolls and apple noodles were adored. A dedicated Catholic and incredibly hardworking person, she was endlessly helpful and supportive to her family. She was insightful and witty, a great conversationalist throughout her entire life.
Her dedication and love of family lives on in all of us. She will be dearly missed.
A service for immediate family will be held on Monday August 15 at 10am in Ottawa. For anyone wishing to view the funeral for Margaret can tune in to the livestream via: https://fweb.tv/83355
