Nous gardons de beaux souvenirs de lui, sa gentillesse, son sourire, les belles soirées de Noël et les accueils chaleureux de Luce et lui lors de nos séjours chez eux. 
Nous tenons à vous offrir nos plus sincères condoléances. La perte d’un être cher est douloureuse, mais sachant que Luce et lui sont à nouveau réunis, cela apporte une certaine paix au cœur.

Mario and Luce were both amazing people. My sister (Pam) and I will be forever grateful for all the love and support they gave to our grandmother, Grace, and to us during a very difficult time.  Rest in peace Mario, reunited with the love of his life ❤️

I am deeply saddened to hear of Mario’s passing. He and Luce were such good friends and neighbours to my grandmother Grace Lefebvre.  They were both there for her and for me during a particularly difficult time in my grandmother’s life.  

I have kept in touch with Mario over the years after my grandmother’s passing when I left Ottawa to see how he was and to reminisce about happier times.    I will miss our chats.   He meant alot to me.   I wish I had known before his service of his passing but only just found out.  

My deepest condolences to his family.   He was truly a kind and decent man.

Now he has gone to be with his beloved Luce, and I find comfort in imagining their reunion, full of love.

Sending you all my love and my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.

I also loved practicing my English with him. He was always so encouraging and patient, and those little moments meant more to me than he probably ever knew.

He will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I will always cherish the memories I have of him.

As a child, I used to love making him laugh, and he always did, even when I told the same joke three times in a row. He never made me feel like I was too much. He just laughed with that sparkle in his eye, and I felt so special every time.

It is with deep sadness that I learned of my godfather’s passing.
It was truly an honour to be his goddaughter. I will always remember him as a kind, warm, and funny man, someone who made the people around him feel cared for and welcomed.

My condolances to all the family. Mario was a lovely kind gentle man, his smile was to die for.  We always talked and shared stories while he stayed at Billings Lodge where I was at the front desk on weekends.

Dear Richard, Daniel, Jennifer and Peter,

My condolences on the loss of your Dad. He was a special man. I remember being in his home back in the late 1980's for a couple of nights. He used to drive a bus back then for OC Transpo.  I don't recall the street name where he lived, but is was off Charlemagne in Orleans. He lived in one of the first homes that were build in that area, when Orleans was still mostly fields and dirt roads. Dan, you might recall how you and I would drive our motorbikes around his neighborhood and then park them in his garage. I'm not sure how much he liked us doing that! But I recall his hospitality and his comfortable home.
Many years later, after Luce passed away,  your Dad would come and visit  us at our home in Metcalfe, for family events. 
We will continue to pray for you all, as you say goodbye to your Dad, and trust that God would allow you the strength needed for the days and weeks ahead.

Mario was such a kind soul.  He enjoyed the company of neighbours and chatting with everyone as he walked up and down on our  street.  I enjoyed hearing all his stories about Italy.

It is with my deepest sympathy to hear about Mario.

I really did enjoy his company, we had alot of  laughs together.
He was truly a treasure and a very wise man.

I loved the stories he told me about his past, I learned alot taking to him and Jack.
I enjoyed when he would walk down the street to get his mail 
and I crossed over to give him a big hug and kiss.  When he had to
move away I missed him alot.

Mario was considered a member of my family: he came to my daughter's wedding shower although he knew he would be the only man there; he would race up and down our street with his bike with my grandson and enjoyed every minute of it; he was always there for me when I needed a helping hand with my garden, fixing my dryer, deck ...in exchange of a good Italian pasta dish or soup. He loved when Jack, him and I would sit on my balcony and chat and laugh about everything and nothing. He loved coming to pick up his mail because it was his time to stop and chat with almost every neighbour on our street who he cherished dearly. 
Mario, you have touched us all with your gentle soul and kindness. You have left us with memories that will stay forever in our hearts. May you rest in peace in knowing that you  are an unforgettable man who was greatly loved.

It is with great sadness to lose a great man. Mario you will always be in our thoughts.
