Rest easy my little bro, until we meet again.  I knew we were going to be close when we first met in 2009. You never failed to cheer everyone around you, you had good heart. Miss you and will always remember you .

I’m one of Mark’s Tim Hortons friend, back in Aylmer. Mark always brought joy into work, he knew how to make someone laugh and was insanely friendly with every costumer and his coworkers. He had a kind soul and would make my shifts much more fun to go to. I have so many memories of him from the past years I’ve worked with him that will forever be engraved into my mind. He was truly one of the kindness souls I have met. Nanda, he spoke a lot about you and really loved you. Rather saying “my came over and she cleaned my apartment, she’s so awesome” or being telling us how grateful he was whenever you’d bring him some food in his fridge. 
Mark was genuinely such a funny guy and fun to be around. He always had a story to tell us whenever he’d come into work. He would always come into work with his bike, rain or shine, snow or not and would never complain of the weather. Whenever it’s nice outside, I’ll always hear him say “It’s so beautiful outside, I think I’ll go ride my bike after work”! He would always find positivity in everything and would always tell me “Maya, it’s only a couple of bad minutes of my day, I still have the rest of the day”. 

Mark, your sweet kindness soul will never be forgotten, I promise you. 

You have my deepest sympathy and unwavering support. Wishing you peace, comfort, courage, and lots of love at this time of sorrow. My heart goes out to Nanda and the family at this difficult time. 


I met Mark when I was around 4 years old. We both attended pre-k together and from there many memories were made. We went through grades 1-3 together before I moved to a different school, but we still kept in contact and continued to see each other even after Mark moved further out to the east part of Ottawa.  Eventually I moved away, we didn’t get to se each other until 2016 when I ran into him in the halls of Algonquin College, and in typical Mark fashion was late for class. Thanks for all the fun laughs and memories, rest easy my friend may we meet again soon. 

I am very sad for the loss of Mark Fournier and my deepest condolences to the family of Mark. Him and his mother Nanda Singh were extremely kind to me when I attended Hilson Public School with Mark. One of the first times I went to the cinema in Canada was to see The Jungle Book 2 with Mark and his mom in grade 1 or so. After that many great childhood memories were formed. Mark was a highly talented musician with an amazing ear for learning music completely on his own. I wish him and I re-connected as adults, but the memories I’ve shared with him will be treasured forever.


I am terribly sorry to hear about your loss. I am thinking of you and your family during this difficult time.

Mark was a gentle soul he was a very kind person, and a very hard worker one of the best,  he had ups and down he would come to my house and we would talk ,he loved very much his mother he would tell me how proud he was of her, I am very saddened by  news may he rest in peace, love you Mark .

I first met Mark at work. He immediately made me feel welcome and more at ease. Mark always knew how to make you smile and ensured everyone enjoyed their day at work. Mark will be missed by the many people he touched during his life.
