Peacefully, on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the age of 82. Daughter of the late Albert Carmanico and the late Mary Cianci. Beloved wife of the late Luigi. Loving mother of Angela (the late Ian McIntyre), John (Lyne Leblanc), Sandra and the late Rosanne (Guiliano D’Angelo). Proud grandmother of David and Mathew. Dear sister of Kathleen, Albert, Joseph and Ann. Predeceased by her brother Tony and by her sister Theresa. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Sincere thanks to the entire staff of the Duke of Devonshire for providing a wonderful homelike environment for Mom over the past three years. Special thanks to Dr. S. Budge, Mom’s family doctor, to the paramedics, doctors, nurses and support staff from the emergency department and the 5th floor of the Civic Campus for their excellent care, compassion and unfailing support. Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Monday, June 17. Funeral mass on Wednesday, June 19 at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Church, 427 Booth Street. Interment at Bellevue Cemetery, Aylmer. In memoriam donations to the Alzheimer Society or to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
