Maureen (Berrea) Murray

It is with great sadness, the family announces the passing of their cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Maureen, at the age of 95. Predeceased by her loving husband Gerald and sons Eric and Derek. Maureen will be greatly missed by her devoted daughters, Elaine Murray, Caroline Hicks (Jim) and Marlene Murray (Mike Gratton), her seven grandchildren, Constance (Stuart Davidson), Genevieve (Douglas Weir), Abigail (Brendan Landry), James (Tara Clifford) Emily, Isobel and Matthew (Hicks), and her five great-grandchildren Declan, Rowan, and Callum (Davidson), and Cillian and Rafferty (Weir).

Maureen was the daughter of the late Arthur and Evangeline Berrea, and daughter-in-law of the late Charles and Mary Murray. She was predeceased by her siblings Beatrice (late Charles Stoqua), Walter (late Josephine), Doreen (late Rheal Choquette), Helen (late Rolland Larouche), Arthur “Sonny” (late Antoinette), Brian (late Sheila), and Joan (late Ellard Milks). She is survived by her sister Evangeline (Leo Downey).

Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home (1411 Hunt Club Rd, Ottawa, ON) on Thurs. Jan 29th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

Traditional Tridentine Latin Requiem High Mass on Fri. Jan. 30th at 10:30 a.m., St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church (528 Old St. Patrick St., Ottawa, ON) followed by a reception at 12:30pm McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home (1411 Hunt Club Rd. Ottawa, ON).

Interment will take place in the spring.
