God gave Melba Heyendal (McBride) to our world as a shining jewel on March 10, 1915. Throughout her life she made us smile with her quick wit, charm, and beauty. She touched each of us in a special way and her vibrant smile and personality filled any room. Melba inspired and taught us to be as strong as she was throughout her incredible 95 years on Earth. March 18, 2010 marks the day that Melba’s new journey began and she will now reunite with her loving husband Henri. Melba’s unconditional love lives on in the hearts of her children, Anne-Marie (Tony Ibell), Carl (Lori), and her grandchildren, Jason, Christopher (Jennifer), Marianne, Candice, Robyn, and Tiffany. Funeral Mass Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 1 p.m. in St. Augustine’s Church, (1060 Baseline Rd. at Merivale). Interment Notre Dame Cemetery.
