It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ned Pitt on June 18, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on January 12, 1967, Ned was a beloved son, brother, and friend, whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and rhythm to the lives of many.
Ned will be dearly missed by his mother Sheila; his brothers Ramsey and Gerry; aunts Dorothy, Ina, Ruby, Allison, Valerie, Hollie; uncles Vincent, Wayne, Cecil and Vernon as well as many nieces, nephew, cousins and a wide circle of friends who were touched by his generous spirit and unmistakable talent. A gifted bass player, Ned was a familiar face in the Ottawa music scene, where he brought energy and soul to every performance.
The family deeply appreciates all your memories, stories, and kind words about Ned, which continue to bring comfort during this time. He will be loved and remembered always.
