Passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and family after a short illness on March 4, 2015 at the age of 62. Son of the late John Ernest Phillips and the late Lucille Surprenant. Beloved husband of 36 years of Ghislaine Gamache. Loving brother of Anita (Jean-Paul) and Rita (Lloyd). He is survived by many in-laws Simone, Louisette, Lise, Yvette, Carole, Suzanne, Francine, Yves, François, Hélène, Joanne, Linda and Estelle. He also leaves his godchildren Mackenzie, Masie, Nadia, Marc, Jonathan and Richard; he will be missed by his cat Tazz and joining his cat Pasha. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care 6th Floor of the General Hospital, Dr. Tucker and Saint-Elisabeth Care for the good care provided. Family and friends are invited to Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home Chapel (180 Montreal Rd., Ottawa).
