MY CONDOLENCES TO YOU ALL WE WILL MISS PETER GREATLY

Derrick Heuchan

July 25, 2020

To Alex: Your father will have been many things to you. To me, he was unfailingly interesting, witty and importantly, both positive and stoic. The latter quality will have served him well as his life came to a close and is an inspiration. Peter was also a genuinely kind person, and his kindness did and will continue to colour how I view the world, for which I am grateful. Peter made my life better for my knowing him.

To Olga: You did not know Peter long enough, but I at least can say from talking with Peter, that you brought new joy into Peter's life. I hope you can treasure your time together, with the knowledge that you made Peter's life better and more meaningful as it came to a close.

My best to both of you.

Derrick

July 23, 2020

My deepest sympathy on Peter's passing. He was a wonderful brother-in-law and uncle and the entire Zisser family extends our most sincere condolences to you. We will never forget how amiable and good-humored he was; plus, he was the only one among us at our Toronto Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations who could carve the turkey with expert skill. He would even bring his own electric knife!
On a more somber note, we will never forget how selflessly he cared for our beloved Leda during the last years of her life and we are so grateful that you and Olga were able to support him so well on his final journey.
Although COVID-19 prevents us from being with you in person on Saturday, you will be in our thoughts and prayers.
With all our love,
Luba, Helmut, Julia, Patrick and Katharine
