So sad to hear about Pierre’s passing. Pierre and I had been friends since high school (Ecole secondaire André Laurendeau) He was always around to make us chuckle and smile with deep belly laughs. He was so kind hearted. We played hockey together in our 20s and 30s. In his bouncer days he would sneak us into the bars. I loved having coffee with him at Tim Hortons to hear his funny stories and just spending time with him. He influenced me to get a Harley and we rode together on numerous occasions. We golfed together too When he managed the Knights of Columbus we would go for Friday night bean dinners and enjoy evenings of fun. 
We were supposed to spend February together in Florida this year. He was so sick it just didn’t work out. We are still in Florida and unfortunately we will miss his service. Your pain is gone Pierre, You will be missed RIP

Whether it was playing hockey, or football together, or any of the other activities we shared, Pierre was always a positive role model for me. He carried himself with dignity, and was always a great influence on us younger kids.

Dear Friends, it is with great sadness that I write to you today to say farewell to my friend Pierre. Pierre’s life was taken away from us too soon and it’s hard to understand why tragic things and sicknesses happen to such good people.
I knew Pierre from grade school, I think from 5 or 6 grade, Ducharme School and Glaude School. We use to meet at the corner of Lacasse Street and Patton Street in Vanier and walk together to school. I believe Pierre was my first friend. I will always look back on my school years and appreciate the times we spent together. I remember in our teen years, Pierre, Rick and I would go out to bars on Friday and Saturday nights, Pierre was the anchor or the designated driver if you will. When we closed the place Pierre would drive us home and laugh at the stupid things we would do, like driving down Montreal road at 3:00AM, radio blasting and Rick and I dancing in the box of Rick’s pick-up. Pierre was always good to people and always looked on the bright side of things which I admired from him. It is sad that Pierre’s life ended so soon after all the pain and suffering he went through over the years and I cannot put into words how much I will miss him. Even though Pierre may be gone, his memory will live on in all of us forever. Goodbye my Friend.

My fondest recent memory has to be when,  3-4 years ago when Pierre, Roch, Beaver, myself and 4 other guys went on a golfing trip to Florida.
This particular day, the four of us, (a.k.a. The Vanier Connection haha) played a round.   We've know each other since high school. The entire round  we poked fun at each other all day long. So many belly laughs.

Pierre was a great guy, and despite all of the obstacles he faced, tackled life with good humour and a big heart. 
Pierre was the most courageous, determined man I ever met. A trooper until the end. 

My wife Pam and I will miss him.

Working along side with Pierre as a technician for 12 years and the friendship we had on wards was never a doll moment,  always quick with a joke or teasing in a friendly way, he always found a way to lighten the day even through  is tough times.  Pierre you  took me under your wing at work and  became a friend. For that I am grateful brother.

Pierre it’s so sad that you left us it’s going to be different without you around we were part of our daily routine. WE were together almost every day for the past 45 years. It wills not be the same to meet in the morning at Tim’s talking about sports, events and the weekly gossips. We knew of your sickness but we still had hope that you would be around for more years. I’m glad we did a final ride last October and you’ll be riding with us in spirits.  Pierre rests in peace my brother I know that the suffering is over and I’ll be thinking of you for the rest of my life.

As we met occassionaly over the years Pierre, we would always talk obout our days playing house leaque at the Vanier arena in our young days together and always on the same team together.

But that what made our friendship with respect last, from our chilhood experiences....RIP
