Pierre Groulx

décédé le jeudi 24 mai 2018 à l’âge de 74 ans. Il était le fils de feu Germain Groulx et feu Dora Gunville. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Huguette Groulx (Leblanc) ses enfants Patrick (Myriam Loiselle) et Mélanie (Sean Cavan) et ses petits-enfants adorés Gabriel, Alex, Olivia et Maxim. Il laisse également sa sœur Suzanne Donahue (feu Mike) et son frère Mario, plusieurs beaux-frères et belles-sœurs, neveux, nièces, cousins(es) et nombreux amis. Il fût prédécédé par son frère Germain (Lina) et sa sœur Thérèse Valiquette. Un service religieux aura lieu le mardi 5 juin à 10h30 en l’église Notre-Dame de Lourdes, 435 Ch. Montréal. La famille sera présente à l’église à compter de 9h30. En mémoire de Pierre, des dons peuvent être faits à la clinique du Cancer de l’hôpital l’Ottawa ou La Fondation Pauline Charron ou l`institut de cardiologie de l`Université d`Ottawa. Tous ceux qui ont connu Pierre se souviendront de sa belle voix, ses farces, ses talents de comédien et ses prouesses sportives.

Peacefully at home, on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the age of 74 years. Son of the late Germain and Dora Groulx. Beloved husband of Huguette Groulx (LeBlanc). Loving father of Patrick (Myriam Loiselle) and Mélanie (Sean Cavan) and adored grand-papa of Gabriel, Alex, Olivia and Maxim. Pierre will be sadly missed by his sister Suzanne Donahue (late Mike) and his brother Mario, his many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Predeceased by his brother Germain (Lina) and his sister Thérèse Valiquette. A Memorial Mass will be held at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Church, 435 Montreal Road, Vanier, on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, the family will receive condolences at 9:30 am. Donations in Pierre`s memory may be made to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation-Cancer Unit, Pauline Charron Foundation or to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. Those who had the privilege of knowing Pete can agree that he was right in singing “I did it my way”. No one was immune to his gags, endless jokes and play on words. No one! Besides his family, his two great talents and passions were sports and music and there were endless hours of entertainment with his singing.
