Prudence Eva White Prud'homme

Prudence Eva Prud’homme (nee White), born April 24, 1918, age 95, passed away quietly and without pain on September 24th, 2013, 9:00 o’clock PM at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital, Ottawa. Known to all as “grandma,” Prudence is the former wife of C. A. Lawrence Sullivan (deceased) and widow of Robert (Bob) C. Prud’homme; beloved sister of Gertrude (Trudi) Graham, of Winnipeg and sister-in-law, Gwyneth DuRose, of Vancouver.

Grandma is survived by her children: Colleen and her husband Bruce, Larry and his wife Lisania, Chris and his wife Sonja, pre-deceased by Gregory; Timothy and his wife Lorna, Sharon and her husband Mike and Penny and her husband Tom. Grandma is also lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren and the extended families; a friend to many and remembered by the closest of friends: Aida Du Bois, Ingrid Shantz and those who loved her dearly at the Friends of Hospice Ottawa.

The surviving family sincerely thank all our friends for their kind words and prayers, The Champlain Community Care Access Centre its agencies and dedicated professionals who cared for grandma and met her every personal need with love and affection and, finally, a special thank you to the funeral home of Racine, Robert et Gautier for their care and understanding at this difficult time.
