Rev. Fr. Donald A Tuori

Unexpectedly In Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, on August 6, 2016 at the age of 67 years. Fr. Don was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Mary Tuori. Fr. Don is survived by brothers Gerald (Judith) of Marlborough, MA and Marc of Strongsville, OH; sister Elaine Hallett (Greg) of Syracuse, NY; nephews Andrew Tuori of Worcester, MA, Avery Hallett ( Bianca) of Castle on the Hudson and Ryan Tuori of Medina ,OH; nieces Lauren Tuori and Sara Moses of Marengo, WI and Sarah Tuori of Butte, MO. Fr. Don was born in Syracuse, New York, on November 20, 1948 and was baptized on December 19th. He was a graduate of Bishop Ludden High School. He studied at the University of Waterloo, Saint-Paul University, University of Ottawa and Queen Mary’s College in London, England. He was ordained to the priesthood by Most Reverend Joseph-Aurele Plourde, Archbishop of Ottawa on September 18, 1976 at the Resurrection of Our Lord Parish in Ottawa. He served the people of God at the parishes of St. Martin de Porres (Nepean), St. Michael’s (Corkery), St. Peter Celestine (Pakenham), Resurrection of Our Lord, St. Augustine, St. Philip, Holy Cross, Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Elizabeth (Ottawa). He served as Regional Vicar for various pastoral regions of the English Sector and as chaplain at the Riverside Hospital and at the Children’s Hospital. He was involved in cooperative ventures with the Church of England, the Episcopal Church of the United States and the Anglican Church of Canada. Since 2015, he was Parochial Administrator at St. Ignatius Parish. Family and friends may attend a Mass in memory of Fr. Don at All Saints Catholic Church, 1340 Lancaster Avenue, Syracuse, N.Y. on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 11 a.m. the family will receive condolences after 10 am at the church Interment to follow at St. Agnes Cemetery. online condolences may be sent to mcevoy-shields.com.
