Rita Deguise Boivin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rita Boivin, who died peacefully on June 25, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on October 26, 1933, Rita was predeceased by her beloved parents and devoted husband.

Rita was the loving mother of Lise (Yves), Gisèle (Norman), Georges (Joanne). She was the proud grandmother to 7 grandchildren Mélanie (Serge), Monica (Eric), Stephanie, Marc (Kelly), Patrick (Krystine), Danny (Alesha), Susan (Nick) and great-grandmother to 12 great grandchildren (Gabrielle, Annabelle, Grace, Zoé, Félix, Théo, Léah, Hunter, Kayden, Jaxson, Connor, Hailey), all of whom brought immense pride and happiness into her life.

She is survived by her dear sisters Thérèse Dupuis and Carmen Buzzell, and will also be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather for condolences at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home on Friday, July 18th at 10:00 a.m. A service in celebration of Rita’s life will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel, with a reception afterward.

A special thank you to the staff of La Piéta (2nd floor) for the excellent care provided to Rita.

C'est avec le cœur lourd que nous annonçons le décès de Rita Boivin, qui s'est éteinte paisiblement le 25 juin 2025, à l'âge de 91 ans. Née le 26 octobre 1933, Rita a été précédée par ses parents bien-aimés et son mari dévoué.

Rita était la mère aimante de Lise (Yves), Gisèle (Norman), Georges (Joanne). Elle était la fière grand-mère de 7 petits-enfants, Mélanie (Serge), Monica (Eric), Stephanie, Marc (Kelly), Patrick (Krystine), Danny (Alesha), Susan (Nick) et l'arrière-grand-mère de 12 arrière-petits-enfants (Gabrielle, Annabelle, Grace, Zoé, Félix, Théo, Léah, Hunter, Kayden, Jaxson, Connor, Hailey), qui ont tous apporté une immense fierté et un grand bonheur dans sa vie.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses chères sœurs Thérèse Dupuis et Carmen Buzzell, ainsi que ses nombreux neveux et nièces et ses amis de toujours.

La famille et les amis sont invités à se réunir pour les condoléances à la Maison funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier, le vendredi 18 juillet à 10 h. Un service de célébration de la vie de Rita suivra à 10h30 dans la chapelle, avec une réception par la suite.

Un merci spécial au personnel de La Piéta (2e étage) pour les excellents soins prodigués à Rita.
