So sorry to hear about Rita. I have many memories of Rita at my Mom and Dad's place (Tom & Loyola Routh).  Rita loved to party and really enjoyed having a good time.

Sending my thoughts and prayers to all of Rita`s family. Rita was a wonderfully kind woman , and a lot of fun ! I have very fond  memories of Rita ~ My sympathy goes out to all who loved this very special woman.

From Wes & Barbara (Shannon) Bicknell and Patricia (Shannon) Lazier. Concolences, we have many wonderful memories of Rita. She came to visit us here in the USA at Lake Ontario and St. Petersburg, FL. As part of our Canadian extended family she was a joy to be around. God rest her soul.

Rita was my cousin. I remember her fondly. She came to our home in Watertown New York several times. She took me on my first airplane trip on a DC 3 from Watertown New York to Ottawa Canada when I was about 13 years Old. Rita also visited when I spent several weeks at my Aunt Julia and Uncle Pat Keho's farm in Greely along with Phill and Kenny Potter and Myrna and Arlene. They were good times. May Rita's soul rest in peace and bask in God's glory.

To All Rita's family and friends,

I am so very sorry to hear, just today, of Rita's passing. I truly hope she did not suffer. My mother, Loyola Routh, was a lifelong friend of Rita's from when they were living around the corner from each other, in Sandy Hill, Rita on Cumberland, next to my Grandmother's home, and my Mother on Somerset St., before the days of Ottawa U. taking over many of the properties for student housing, or for erecting new university buildings.

I remember taking my mother to see Rita,in Sept., 2002, before she moved out to Vancouver, which was a wish of my father's, if he died first, which, sadly, he did. ( My sister Leslie Walsh, and her family reside in Vancouver. ) My mother died the following year, in January, 2003. Rita used to visit my parents many homes throughout her life, and was a beloved friend of all who knew her. I am only sorry that my health and other family matters have kept me from visiting Rita regularly in these last few years.

I am not sure if I can make it to the mass on Saturday, tomorrow, but if I can, I certainly will. I will always remember Rita with love, and am sure she is in a much better place now.
