Rolande Lessard

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rolande Lessard (née Roy), on Friday, March 20th, 2026, at the age of 89 in Petrolia, Ontario. She was predeceased by her mother, Augustine Roy (née Lachapelle), her father Joseph Roy, her brothers: Gérard, Roland, Irèné, Denis and Gilles, her sisters: Rita, Thérèse, Jeanne d'Arc, Irène, Denise, as well as her son Jean-Philippe and her daughter Sylvie.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Agathe (Marcel), her four children: Chantal (Brad), Charles (Kathleen), Brigitte (Dan), and Guylaine. She also leaves behind her 17 grandchildren: Jessica, Shane, Travis, Cara, Joël, Stéfane, Charles Jr., Brandon, Janic, Annie, Céline, Danielle, Marc, Natasha, Kevin, Tanisha, Brayden and her 12 great-grandchildren: Gwen, Ariel, Aslan, Benthley, Kara, Xavier, Nora-Rose, Charlotte, Alexandre, Gabrielle, Simon and Yan.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11th, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home chapel.

In memory of Rolande, donations to the Down Syndrome Association would be greatly appreciated.

C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Rolande Lessard (née Roy), survenu le vendredi 20 mars 2026, à l’âge de 89 ans, à Petrolia, en Ontario. Elle fut précédée dans la mort par sa mère, Augustine Roy (née Lachapelle), son père, Joseph Roy, ses frères : Gérard, Roland, Irèné, Denis et Gilles, ses sœurs : Rita, Thérèse, Jeanne d’Arc, Irène et Denise, ainsi que son fils Jean-Philippe et sa fille Sylvie.

Elle laisse dans le deuil sa sœur Agathe (Marcel), ses quatre enfants : Chantal (Brad), Charles (Kathleen), Brigitte (Dan) et Guylaine. Elle laisse également dans le deuil ses 17 petits-enfants : Jessica, Shane, Travis, Cara, Joël, Stéfane, Charles Jr., Brandon, Janic, Annie, Céline, Danielle, Marc, Natasha, Kevin, Tanisha et Brayden, ainsi que ses 12 arrière-petits-enfants : Gwen, Ariel, Aslan, Benthley, Kara, Xavier, Nora-Rose, Charlotte, Alexandre, Gabrielle, Simon et Yan.

Les condoléances seront reçues le samedi 11 avril 2026, de 11 h à 13 h, à la Maison funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier, situé au 180, chemin Montréal, à Ottawa. Les funérailles auront lieu ensuite en la chapelle de la maison funéraire.
