It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ronald Joseph Dugas, surrounded by his loved ones, on August 21st 2012 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Gabrielle (nee Landry) and dear father of 8 children: Rufin (Nicole), Isabelle Bédirian (Armand), Joanne Kalmo (Richard), Fernand (Carole Gélineau), Armande Proulx (Paul), René (Wendy Powers), Doris (Sylvie) and Maurice. He also leaves 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren: Sylvain (deceased), Amélie, Thierry, Alain, Mathieu (Julie), Rémi (Valérie), Peter (Mia, Bryce, Mason), Aimée, Andrée, Mélissa (Jeff, Noela), and Kayla. Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, on Saturday, August 25 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. Memorial Mass will follow immediately at St-Thomas d’Aquin Church, 1244 Kilborn Place, Ottawa at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
