Ronald Inglis Hodge, loving and very loved husband, father, brother, grandad, great-grandad and uncle, passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2012. He leaves behind his deeply saddened wife, June, children Jonathan (Jennifer) and Wendy Seward (Joe), sister Dorothy, grandchildren Adam, Alex, Andrew, Joey and Angela, and dear nieces, nephews and friends near and far. Predeceased by his parents and son Alistair, he is now at rest after a valiant struggle with Parkinson’s disease. Ron fully engaged with life, professionally, as a nuclear engineer, and after retirement from AECL, teaching at Queens and Carleton Universities. Never one to stand still, he kept his hands busy with carving, painting, gardening, sailing and skiing, and pursued his deep interest in the history of cultures, exploring through travel and books. The family will say goodbye in a private service, as Ron wished. In memoriam donations may be made to the Parkinson Society, Ottawa, with our thanks.
