My condolences to the family. I remember Rupert's smile and infectious laugh. I used to visit the homestead with my Dad when he was helping build the house and repairing the barn/ shed to keep it from sliding into the creek.
A wonderful man and always was a joy to be around.
Rest easy dear Rupert.

My deepest sympathy's to the Kavanaugh family and freinds. Mr. Kavanaugh, as I knew him, was a big bear of a man and being a friend of Sandy, I have got to admit that when I was visiting he scared the heck out of me but as I got to know him I soon discovered that he was a kind and gentle man and was very wise. 

I fondly remember Rupert when I was growing up at Blanche lake when he first built his cottage and had a large family.  He came to my dad’s cottage by boat with a load of children and had them all name themselves. (Easier that way).  I remember baby sitting for Rupert and Mary a group of well behaved children.  Thanks. Tom Roos  the third.

I’m sorry for your loss.  My Dad used to share so many memories of him and Mary. I’m going to miss his drive by’s, when he was out checking the neighboring farms. Always a wave and a smile.

Our memories date way back, when our Dad gave him his first job in Sudbury, at the Monaghan's B A Service Station. Not too many years later, he was the proud owner of his own Service Station in Ottawa.
Great guy, from a great family, that's for sure.
