I haven't seen Salem in a long time, but I remember him from both high school and elementary. He was such a great guy! Very sad to hear the unfortunate news. Thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

So sorry to hear of Sal’s passing, as many late 40’s people going to St Paul’s in Nepean, Sal was always smiling, saying hello and knew everyone’s first and last name even when some of us moved to Kanata and went to Holy Trinity and saw him years later. My condolences to all of his family and his friends.

I coached Sal basketball at St Paul HS in the late 80’s.  Sal was a kind and friendly kid with a big heart.  Remember his big smile and kind word for all.  May his memory be a blessing to your family .  Several of his teammates notified me of the sad news.

I first met Sal at St. Paul's High School back in 90-91.  I knew instantly that he was a good guy.  Very outgoing, confident, smart,friendly,funny and all around just happy. He was definitely a bright spot in alot of peoples day. You knew that if you saw him coming towards you in the hallway, that you were going to get a laugh. Sadly as many do, we lose touch after high school. My brother had just recently reconnected with him and I was looking forward to joining them for a drink. I'm saddened that this will not happen and I'm sure that anyone who knew Sal at any point in their life knows how terrible of a loss this is to those closest to him.
Rest easy buddy. Maybe we'll meet again.

I used to work with Sal at the Civic Hospital. After he left, I would see him from time to time and he would always greet me with a smile and a hearty handshake. He would ask about my family and showed sincere interest in my responses. He will be missed.

Dear Sal:
I can’t believe you’re gone. I just spoke with you a couple of weeks ago. You voiced to me how scared you were that the end was near for you.  When I got diagnosed with breast cancer, you were there for me. You encouraged me and prayed for me. We shared treatment ideas. You fought a good fight. You’re at peace now. God called you home. I’m going to miss our long conversations and laughter and memories working together at the Royal. I love you, Sal.  Rest in eternal peace.
