Stephen Joseph DeYoung

May 26, 1952January 1, 2021

Steve passed away peacefully in his sleep at home after battling cancer.

Loving husband to Darlene (Wilson) and father to daughters Rachel and Kristen. Steve is survived by brothers Rick (Dorothy), Malcolm (Rosemarie), and Allan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He leaves many other family members, friends, and coworkers who sadly miss him.

Predeceased by father, Edgar and mother, Barbara.

Steve was an avid golfer and loved every minute of the game. Despite intense jabbing by his friends, Steve remained a loyal fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

A memorial will be planned for Halifax NS once COVID restrictions allow.

Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Sorry to hear about Steve's passing. Please accept our deepest condolences and prayers. I remember Steve from the old Texaco Refinery days, having worked with him for a number of years.
