Vivian Normand

Passed away peacefully at home on April 28th, 2012 at the age of 88, surrounded by her loving family. She will be missed by her husband of sixty-three years, Bernard Joseph (B.J) Normand. A kind and gentle spirit and loving mother of Peter (Ann Marie Daly); Bernie (Linda Huckabone); JoAnn; Lee (Ghislaine Parent); Paul (Marie Chantal Sarazin) and Louise. Cherished grandmother of Natasha (Mike Taylor), Sonya (Jeff Murphy); Jennifer, Jaymee, Jillian, Julia; Caroline (David Pierce), Rémi-Paul (Solmaz Soleimani); Zaina, Adam and Jirius; step grandchildren Christine (Parent) Cavanagh and Jason (Parent) Proulx and great-grandchildren Ashley Dominique, Aiden; Victoria and Olivia.

Daughter of the late Ephraim John Parker and the late Marie Mérilda Mercedes Momy. Dear sister of Patricia (the late Michael Walsh) and predeceased by her brothers Harvey (late Marjorie Scharf), Gilbert, and sisters Irene (late Richard Picknell) and Ida Barbara (Charles Therrien).

Family and friends are invited to a memorial mass that will be celebrated at the Notre Dame Basilica Cathedral on Sussex Drive, Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012 at 10:30am. The family will receive condolences at the Church starting at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Vivian may be made to the Notre Dame Basilica Cathedral. We would like to thank Doctor Lisa Aldridge as well as the Palliative Care Unit for their care and support.

Décédée paisiblement à la maison, entourée de sa famille, le 28 avril 2012, à l’âge de 88 ans. Elle était la fille d’Ephraim John Parker et de Marie Mérilda (Mercedes) Momy. Épouse bien aimée de soixante-trois ans de Bernard Joseph (BJ) Normand. Une maman aimante et douce de cœur, elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants bien aimés : Peter (Ann Marie Daly), Bernie (Linda Huckabone), JoAnn, Lee (Ghislaine Parent), Paul (Marie Chantal Sarazin) et Louise, ses onze petits-enfants : Natasha (Mike Taylor), Sonya (Jeff Murphy), Jennifer, Jaymee, Jillian, Julia, Caroline (fiancé David Pierce), Rémi-Paul (Solmaz Soleimani) Zaina, Adam et Jirius, deux petits beaux-enfants : Christine (Parent) Cavanagh et Jason (Parent) Proulx, ses deux arrières petits-enfants : Ashley Dominique Taylor et Aiden Murphy et deux arrières petits beaux-enfants Victoria et Olivia Cavanagh. Lui survivent également une sœur Patricia (feu Michael Walsh). Elle est prédécédée par ses frères : Harvey (feu Marjorie Scharf) et Gilbert, ses sœurs : Irène (feu Richard Picknell) et Ida Barbara (Charles Therrien). Elle laisse également plusieurs belles-sœurs et beaux-frères Lucille Normand (Louis Desmarais), Claire Normand (feu Ernest Sauvé); Hélène Normand (Miguel Brache) feu Jean Normand (Annette Tessier) et Gaston Normand.

Une messe commémorative sera célébrée mercredi le 2 mai 2012 à 10 h30 en l’église Basilique-Cathédrale Notre Dame, coin de Sussex, à Ottawa; inhumation au Cimetière militaire national Beechwood. La famille recevra les condoléances à l’église à compter de 10 h.
