Peacefully in hospital on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of Stella for 55 wonderful years. Loving father of Diana Dolezal (Bernard Meagher) and Richard Dolezal (Trisha). Cherished grandfather of Mila, Benjamin, Matthew, Lucas, and Leah.
Walter was a kind and gentle soul whose smile could light up a room. He loved deeply and was adored by everyone who knew him.

Family and friends may pay their respects at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road), on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Hyacinth Polish Roman Catholic Church, 201 Lebreton Street North (at Louisa Street), on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Hope Cemetery.
