Peacefully at the Perley and Rideau Veterans Health Centre, with his daughter Carol at his side, on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at the age of 91 years. Beloved husband of the late Helen Yade; loving father of Carol Ouimet and Diane Smith; much loved grandfather of Jamie (Jennifer), Lisa, Lynn, Colleen, Amanda and R.J. and numerous great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his niece Maureen Whitehead. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion), on Wednesday, September 7, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The family wish to thank the staff of Rideau 1 North for their compassionate care.
