Armando Balanza Lucin passed away on November 14, 2018 at the age of 90 at St. John's Regional Medical Center. He was a resident of Ventura County for 31 years and a retired US navy. Families and friends fondly called him "Anding", a devoted loving husband of 61 years to Dolores " Cherry" and responsible caring father to Jun, Myrna, Riza, Bobby, Robert, Ronnie and Rosalyn. Graduated in the Philippines with a bachelor degree in liberal arts and in animal husbandry. He joined the US navy and served for 20 years as a chef, and had been a resident of Oxnard, California for 31 years. He loved cooking. His favorite dishes are "Kare-kare" and "adobo." He baked a lot of pandesal and cinnamon rolls for family, friends and for the homeless people. He also loved to sing. He was a member of senior citizen group choir of Mary Star of the Sea and loved to sing "Amazing Grace." His favorite verse in the bible is Psalm 23 verse 6. "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Visitation will be on November 20, 2018 at 4-9 pm at Del Angel Conrad Funeral Home. There will be funeral service on November 21, 2018 at 9 to 11 am at Del Angel Conrad then to burial site at Ivy lawn Memorial Park in Ventura CA.
