Lita was born in San Fernando, Pampanga Philippines on April 15, 1938. She was the daughter of Florencio Tolentino and Casimira Halili. She had 8 siblings and was the third youngest. She was baptized under the Catholic Church.

During Lita’s adulthood, she worked at a food stall in the market in Guagua, Pampanga with her mom and younger sister. She continued to work there until she migrated to the US.

Lita was married to Gener Capati and had 2 children, Glenda and Gerald. In 1987, her husband came to the US and petitioned Lita and their children to come to the US. Lita and her children arrived to the US in 1993. They attended church at the Port Hueneme Base Chapel. After 9/11, base access was restricted so they attended St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and became members.

Lita was preceded in death by her 3 sisters, brother, and parents. She is survived by her husband (Gener), her 4 sisters (Rose, Naty, Tess, and Lucy), her children (Glenda and Gerald), and her 4 grandchildren (Raymark, Shanel, Angelita, and AJ) and many other family/relatives.
