. . . On your 57 Birthday with love. I remember the trip home from the hospital with you cuddled in my arms and your Dad driving the speed limit for once. . . And the second week of your life, we took you on your first trip up to Mount Lemon, a half hour or so from Tucson, where it was nice and cool and lots of pine trees,
. . . I remember your determination to learn to tie your own shoes at an impossibly young age. And your ABC's. . . Again, no 'rest' for me til you mastered them. Books, VW's. . . Didn't matter what it was, if it had caught your interest, as everything did, you had to 'know' about it! And that was that! Happy Birthday Ron.
. . . As I watched you grow and mature into the adult you became, Iwas constantly amazed at the accomplishments you achieved. From the model airplanes you built and flew as a teen. The 'garage' band 'Orpheus' you played in with your bass guitar. You taught yourself how to play. Your Cousin Carol once did a comical rendition of you learning a new 'piece'. Then on to starting a family. Then on to a few not so good years that somehow segued in to starting your own business. And starting to enjoy the beginnings of your 'Man Toys'. Then your sailboats and competition. You built from the ground up your first off-road vehicle with Chris. Then the sailboat you could live aboard. Then it was time to get up in the air. So you got your pilot's license with all the 'extras'. Then on to competition. After that you drove up to Colorado to pick up your first glider. Lots of snow in Colorado but you made it back to Fillmore towing your glider. And somewhere in there you had your live aboard boat hauled out for a complete redo. Painting the hull etc., etc. I know I do not have your accomplishments in order, but who could keep up with you? You were always on to the next 'thing'. You were blessed Ron, to have had a mate such as Ardis by your side. And your son Chris. And I was blessed to have you as my son for a much to short a time.

Ardis I am Robert E. & Judy Adams--Betty's cousin--we are family and family is very important to us. Betty has told me a lot about Ron--I want you to know we will also miss him. Our family has a lot to share---growing up during the Depression--WWll--one learns how important family is. Betty is probably more like a sister than a cousin . The miles are the only thing that separate us. Ron's likes and our families likes are very similar. I get up every day wondering what new adventure is out there for me today. Our families sympathy to you and your family---and to Betty. Please don't forget us. Go in Peace Ron---you will be missed by us

Ardis.....I just learned about Ron's passing away. I'm so sorry. We've missed you two deeply. I'll never forget our trip to the Islands and all the fun we had on the boat with you two. I still have the sea urchins from that trip. I have pics from that trip I will pull out and send to you. I just talked about that trip to someone yesterday.
My heart is sad and tears fall from my eyes.
Ron loved the ocean so much and you Ardis.
I'll never forget Ron's young face on the beach at 2nd Street and at Boonthany's house across from the Burkharts when we were all little teenagers running around.
Much love to you Ardis...please find us on Facebook.
