Jaime Moreno, 73, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2025, at his home in Port Hueneme, California. He was born on July 20, 1951 in San Benito, Texas.
Jaime was deeply loved by his family and friends and respected throughout his community. He dedicated 44 years of hard work to Dole. With a presence you never forgot, Jaime was quick with a joke, always ready to place a bet, and a proud Dallas Cowboys fan. A true Texan with a Vegas heart, he loved the thrill of the game, his Corvettes and a cold beer on a hot day. That mischievous smile of his always hinted he was up to something.
Beyond the laughs and good times, Jaime had one of the kindest and most generous souls. He was loyal, wise, and always there when it mattered most. He listened without judgment and gave advice that stayed with you. That’s how we’ll remember him, with warmth, laughter, and love.
Jaime was preceded in death by his parents, Isidoro and Minerva Moreno; his son, Nicholas Moreno; his brother, Isidoro Moreno Jr.; and his sister, Juanita Moreno.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria “Connie” Moreno; his daughter, Michelle Moreno of Port Hueneme, CA and stepchildren Samuel Rodriguez and Jessica Rodriguez of Harlingen, TX. He also leaves behind his siblings: Maria Dolores Moreno, Mela Moreno, Gloria Moreno, Isabel Walsh and Johnny Moreno; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Moreno family extends heartfelt thanks to all who came to pay their respects. Special thanks to Rosalinda Torres and The Mission Hospice team for their compassionate care during Jaime’s final days.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 pm.
