Josefina Ramirez Amaro, age 88 of Oxnard, California entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at her home surrounded be her beloved family. She was born April 13, 1929 in Fresnillo, Zacatecas Mexico to the union of Miguel and Patricia Ramirez. Josefina was a 71 year Ventura County resident. She was employed at Frozen Foods and Chileria for many years as a packer.

Josefina loved to listen to music with her tequilita, loved to cook for everyone , she felt joyful looking at family eat her food, laugh, and talk. She loved to dance and travel.

She leaves to cherish her memory her 5 children; sons, Antonio, Ralph, Johnny and Manuel Amaro, daughter; Josie Amaro Marquez, 14 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and 10 Great-Great Grandchildren.

The Amaro family will receive friends and family at Funeraria Del Angel Mortuary on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Mrs. Amaro will be laid to rest immediately following at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
