On Thursday, November 29, 2018, loving father, husband, and beloved friend Kenny Bond passed away at the age of 49, surrounded by his family after a 26-month battle with glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer. Kenny was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served as a medic in the first Gulf War. He went on to become a registered nurse and enjoyed a successful career as a home dialysis program director. Kenny was a competitive cyclist, an avid reader, and loved camping and spending time with his family and friends. Among his most memorable impacts was on the world of martial arts where he was a black belt in the art of Brazilian jiu jitsu. For 25 years, he trained, taught, and competed up until, and even after, he was diagnosed with glioblastoma. Kenny’s love for jiu jitsu coincided with his love for people, and he showed that love with his openness and desire to share his art with anyone who set foot in his gym. He is survived by his wife Nadine and their two boys Jacob and Zachary, along with his two brothers Jason and Timmy and his parents, Kim and Rose. A celebration of life will be held in his memory at 2pm on Friday, December 14 at St Julie Billiart Church, 2475 Borchard Rd, Newbury Park, CA 91320.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.Funerariadelangeloxnard.com for the Bond family.
