Lola Lopez

Lola (Soriano) Lopez, went home to be with Our Lord after 88 wonderful years on Saturday, September 21, 2013, with her loving family at her bedside. She is preceded by her son's Eddie Ortega (Theresa), Louise Duran (Santos), Carlos Apodaca (Connie), Andy Juarez, daughter's Carmen Apodaca, Angie Juarez and Christine De La Rosa (Danny) including over 63 grand, great, and great children.

Lola was a lifetime resident of Ventura County who worked at the Chili Packing House in the Colonia. She took pride in decorating the outside of her Garfield house for every holiday, sending her loved ones and doctors birthday & holiday cards. She also enjoyed sitting on the porch watching everyone go by and embroiding everything she can get her hands on.

Every morning she took pride in making her husband Valentine Lopez his lunch as she would sing and play her favorite album by Cornelio Reyna.

Whenever anyone would leave her home she made sure she blessed them by saying "Dios Te Bendiga".

Our beloved Lola will sadly be missed by family and friends but we will always remember her with her kindness and thoughtfulness as she touched many of our lives.

Graveside Burial service will be held at Santa Clara Cemetery, Friday, September 27, 2013 at 10:00 am. Celebration of Life will be held from 12-3pm at the Club House in the Meadow Lake Mobile Home Park on Oxnard Blvd & Orchard St.
